Defeating powerful bosses in Lies of P usually grants valuable rewards. One such reward is quartz, which can't be used right away. Our guide to Lies of P explains when will you be able to use it and what for.
What is quartz used for?
Quartz is a very important item, as it can make Pinocchio significantly stronger. You can't use it right away, but it becomes available the moment Geppetto appears in Hotel Krat.
Quartz is used in the P-Organ. This mechanic lets you unlock Pinocchio's hidden abilities. Placing quartz in a specific P-Organ slot activates its corresponding effect. If you place quartz in all slots in the same group, you'll unlock an additional synergy bonus.
The effects will vary. Some let you stun enemies quicker, others increase your number of Pulse Cell uses or Fable Points. With the effects being so diverse, you can experiment with your build.
How to use quartz?
You'll first meet Geppetto after defeating the Mad Donkey boss. He's the one who lets you use quartz. Before he appears in Hotel Krat, you must first defeat a different boss - the Scrapped Watchman.
Head to Hotel Krat's first floor and you should notice a new door is now open. You'll met Geppetto in the newly unlocked room. Talk to him, then approach Geppetto's tools to unlock the P-Organ mechanic.
