Aliens Dark Descent is a production involving a marine squad joining battles against different varieties of xenomorphs and other types of enemies. So there is a question - is it possible to play coop so that each player controls a different marine. From the guide, you will also learn if the game offers other multiplayer modes.
Co-op
In the following missions of the Aliens Dark Descent campaign, you take control of a several-person unit of marines. Each of them has their own health and armor indicators, as well as their own assigned equipment before heading out on a mission. In addition, individual team members have their unique names, images, and earn their own experience points.
Unfortunately, despite all the listed options, Aliens Dark Descent does not offer cooperative gameplay, meaning different players cannot take control of different characters from the team.
The campaign can only be played in single-player mode. Most of the time the team is treated as a one unit and the commands that are given are generally applied to all of its members. The game also fortunately allows for more advanced tactical moves and, for example, giving specific orders to individual marines. They can also die during the mission, and this means the need to continue the task with a weakened team.
Other multiplayer modes
In Aliens Dark Descent, you will not find any other multiplayer modes based on competition or fighting waves of xenomorphs. This is a 100% singleplayer production, meaning it is designed exclusively for a single player.
It's not excluded, that in the future this production may receive an update or an addition enabling multiplayer gameplay. The premiere version of Aliens Dark Descent is, however, designed exclusively for 1 player.
