In the autopsy room below the sheriff's office in Alan Wake 2, you may get stuck trying to leave the morgue. On this guide page, we explain how to figure out where Nightingale went and how to exit the morgue in Bright Falls.
Conversation with Casey and taking a manuscript page
- You must first complete the first confrontation with the monster in the Autopsy room in the basement of the Sheriff's office in Bright Falls. We described it on a different page: How to survive a confrontation in the morgue?.
- Start by talking to agent Casey. You must exhaust all dialogue options.
- Take another look around the Autopsy room. There is the manuscript page on the floor which you must pick up (as shown in the picture).
How to unlock the exit from the morgue?
- The exit from the morgue is blocked by the corpse shown in the picture. Until you complete the next steps, you cannot move them to unlock the exit from the Sheriff's office basement.
- Move to the Mind place and approach the Case board. Choose the case file Murder at Cauldron Lake as the active case.
- You can create a new branch of Nightingale attacked us.
- Place 2 clues on the board - the manuscript pages that you have. They should be located to the right of the picture of the undead Nightingale and the yellow card.
- After closing the Mind Palace, a new option for a conversation with Casey should appear regarding the desire to return to Cauldron Lake.
- You can now head towards the exit from the morgue. Sheriff's deputies will appear and unlock the passage, which will allow you to leave the Sheriff's office building.
