Environmental kill is an optional feature that appears when completing several specific contract missions. While its assumptions seem simple, the execution may cause some problems. This page of the guide will show you how to prepare for the task and what elements to pay attention to first and foremost.
What is environmental kill?
Before starting a mission, it is worth familiarizing yourself with the term describing optional requirements. Environmental kills are assassinations that relied on the use of the target's surroundings. Among such measures are primarily exploding barrels full of flammable substances.
Completing an order using the environment requires appropriate preparation and planning. To illustrate the process, let's look at an example of an environmental kill in action.
How to execute an environmental kill?
One of the contract quests with an optional reward for an environmental kill is "The Traitor" which is part of a longer series of contracts. Your task will be to infiltrate the enemy facility and eliminate the conspiring merchant.
After reaching the enemy facility, it is worth spending some time preparing before the assassination itself. A good idea will be to eliminate as many guards as possible, as they can get you into trouble during the assassination attempt. Most of them patrol the outer walls of the restricted area. You will easily be able to isolate them from the rest of the group and neutralize them individually.
Once you have eliminated most of the guards, go to the small building with reed walls in the southern part of the complex. Kill the guard stationed there, but DO NOT KILL THE MISSION TARGET. When he sees you, he will grab a weapon and chase after you. Run out of the building and then use Eagle Vision to locate the nearest barrels with flammable substances (in Eagle Vision mode, they will flash red).
Lure the pursuers chasing you to the area around the barrels, then blow up the improvised bomb with an accurate knife throw. The power of the explosion should kill the perfume dealer, and the environmental kill challenge will be completed. However, be careful not to let the force of the explosion kill Basim as well.
