Tokens are a special currency used on the streets of Baghdad by specific groups and guilds. By acquiring and then spending tokens, Basim will be able to use services of appropriate groups. The services available for tokens offer various effects, which when used properly, will help the protagonist during the execution of missions for the Brotherhood.

How do tokens work?
In AC Mirage, you will encounter 3 types of tokens related to specific groups. These are: merchant tokens, scholar tokens and power tokens. In medieval Baghdad, tokens play the role of an alternative currency that, instead of goods, provides specific services to a corresponding group of people.
The available services vary in terms of usage, but most often involve hiring a specific person to perform a task. Here are the most important uses of tokens from each category:
- You can bribe a street musician with a scholar token, who will distract the attention of nearby guards with his performance. Coins of this type can also be spend at cartographers. The purchased map fragments will not only reveal the selected area of the city or surrounding area, but will also the location of interesting places or secrets.
- Green merchant tokens are used to open special chests. A bribed group of merchants will also allow you to join them to sneak unnoticed to otherwise inaccessible locations. After paying the fee in tokens, some merchants will lower the prices of their regular goods available for dirhams.
- Power tokens will be useful primarily for bribing a munadi standing on a street. The public speaking official will then lower Basim's notoriety indicator. With rusty tokens you will also hire a group of mercenaries who will attack nearby guards. The chaos caused by the fight will allow you to slip through unnoticed.
How to acquire tokens?
The easiest way to obtain new tokens is by pickpocketing. Citizens strolling the streets of Baghdad often carry in their pouches not only regular coins, but also the currency of a specific guild.
