Starborn is the main quest with the confrontation with the ship of an alien race from the game Starfield. In the walkthrough in our guide we described all the options after the appearance of the enemy ship Helix - fight, transfer of the artifact or escape.

Starborn is the first quest in Starfield , in which you will come into contact with a hostile alien race. On this page of our guide, we show possible variants of the Starborn confrontation, whether can you destroy Helix, and how to escape from the alien ship.

Appearance of Helix

1. This quest is a direct continuation of the All The Money Can Buy main mission.
2. Right after you escape Neon and find yourself in space, a Starborn (alien race) ship will appear. It will demand that you surrender the artifact you've obtained in the previous quest.

Confrontation with the Starborn

There are 3 main variants of how this encounter is going to play out: The first two don't end up in combat, and they are:

1. Giving back the artifact peacefully - Helix will collect the cargo left by you. The result here is that you won't be able to deliver the artifact to the Lodge. The artifact is not lost permanently. You will get it back later. Handing it over will not affect the ending.
2. Escape to another system - you need to reroute power to the gravity drive and jump to any system from the galaxy map.

1. The last option is attacking the Starborn ship. Helix is a level 30 ship and its attacks destroys shields very fast. We do not recommend this variant if you're still using Frontier and not a better ship.
2. The plan is same as always - destroy shields by firing the laser, then attack the ship's hull by using ballistic and rocket attacks. A scripted event will prevent you from fully destroying Helix. After dealing enough damage to its hull, it will escape from the system.

Participating in the meeting at the Lodge

1. Regardless of how you acted during the confrontation with the Starborn ship, you must return to the Lodge in New Atlantis.
2. Speak with Noel and other characters from the Lodge - you can present any theory on who the Starborn are. If you still have the artifact from Neon, add it to the collection. Your rewards for completing the mission will be XP, 7,500 credits, and Constelation gear.
