While playing through the game Dave the Diver, you may have trouble understanding the meaning of the light bulb icon appearing above the staff members' portraits in the Management window. On this page of our guide, we explain what the icon means, how it is related to your restaurant staff, and how you can use it to unlock new skills and meals.
Light bulb icon in Management window of the restaurant
- During restaurant sections, you can open the Management window and in addition to looking for new employees, you can manage the currently hired staff - cooks and waiters.
- You may have noticed a light bulb icon above the staff member's portrait appearing - an exemplary situation like this can be seen in the attached screenshot. Fortunately, the light bulb icon doesn't mean anything bad. Instead, it informs of a possible unlocking of a new employee skill or recipe - we describe this aspect further down the page.
What happens after promoting a staff member?
If a light bulb icon appears over a staff member, you can promote him. To do that, you need to highlight the employee and choose Training from the drop-down menu. Training has to be paid for, but after it is complete, the given employee is promoted by one level. Rewards from promoting are as follows:
- A new employee skill unlocked (levels 3 and 7) - in the example from our screenshot, Kyoko (waitress) has received the ability to serve drinks (Drink Serving) to the restaurant guests.
- A new recipe unlocked (level 5) - the menu of your restaurant receives new additions that can be served to your guests.
