Diablo 4 Season 1 Motivates Players to Create Amazing Builds; Some Can't Hide the Disappointment

The last few days have been full of a lot of developments around Diablo 4. Recently, Blizzard released a trailer of the first season - Season of the Malignant, in which players will face hosts of the eponymous enemies.

Since the day before yesterday, players have been reacting vividly to the released gameplay trailer, but these reactions are receding into the background in the face of the impressive records that have recently been set in Diablo 4.

In anticipation of the release of the first season, players are looking for the most optimal builds possible, and this, as it turns out, leads to damage counts that no longer go into the millions, but billions and even more.

A million, a billion, a trillion damage

Not long ago, news broke of streamer Moxsym, who, with the help of his werewolf druid, managed to inflict damage of 1 billion 800 million points.

This result is certainly impressive - a druid with such a build looks like an unstoppable killing machine; you can recreate this build, because the streamer published a instructional video.

The record in damage, however, did not remain in Moxsy's hands for long - streamer Echohack published a screenshot of his colleague (iBoilerUp), which shows 2 billion 100 million damage.

All these achievements pale in the face of what streamer Rob2628 has accomplished, whose barbarian has reached damage amounting to 36 sextillion (!) - a number with 36 zeros.

How was this cosmic ceiling reached? Only one beast could even take such damage - Alumnn - a very rare demon, which, if you attack it in a certain way, cannot die. This is how, after a while of pomelling the creature, the increasing damage of Rob's barbarian reached such dizzying values. See for yourself:

Interestingly, the streamer claims that with this type of opponent it is purely theoretically possible to increase the damage indefinitely.

Season 1 in gray

All these races for better builds and higher damage precede the release of the first season in Diablo 4, which so far has not been received very positively. Under the Season of the Malignant trailer, more than 1.5 thousand reviews are so-called "thumbs down" (3.6 thousand are positive).

In the comments, players also express their disappointment - mainly due to the modest amount new content, including only one new boss.

"WOW! One new boss? I can't wait to beat him in one second with the Bone Spear build," JayHoelscher wrote

"Holy crap, another boss fight that will take 0.1 seconds," wrote TheTannelChannel

There are many more opinions in a similar vein - it seems that Blizzard missed the mark with the announcement. Perhaps, however, the disappointment of players will prove premature and the first season will not be as bad as they paint it.
