In Lies of P, you will encounter many NPCs, some more helpful than others. However, others may be hostile towards you, depending on your decisions. One of such characters is The Atoned. In our guide you will read about how to provoke a fight with the boss, where she is located, how to defeat her, and what you will receive for winning the battle.
Where to find The Atoned?
The Atoned is located next to the cable car in Moonlight Town, which will take you to the St. Frangelico Cathedral Chapel.
How to start a fight with The Atoned?
When you talk to The Atoned for the first time, after a short while she will ask you if you are a Stalker. You can choose the option: "Give the Stalker's greeting". This is obviously a lie that will affect Pinocchio. However, you will receive the cable car key for free. Later you will be able to return here and talk to The Atoned again. She will realize that you lied to her and the fight will begin.
However, if you want to fight this NPC right away, or you simply do not intend to lie, then choose the second option. Then the battle with The Atoned will begin immediately.
How to fight The Atoned?
If you're using a weapon that performs quick attacks, you may have trouble breaking her stance, so we recommend a single quick slash or charged attack. In the case of a heavier, albeit slower weapon, breaking her stance will be much easier.
Since she is a human, it will be possible to approach The Atoned from the side and use a fatal attack from behind.
The Atoned will often use her fury attack. She will stand still for a moment and start charging her attack. After a while, she will quickly jump towards you at a medium distance and attack with her fist, inflicting the Decay status. You can do a perfect block, but we recommend dodging to the side, then quickly approaching the enemy from behind and using a fatal attack.
Besides this attack, nothing else should surprise you. Her pickaxe attacks are nothing out of ordinary and are quite slow. She also has a regular fist attack that inflicts the Corruption status. Try to make her use this attack. Block her attacks and then flank The Atoned from behind to use a fatal blow as often as possible.
Rewards
For defeating The Atoned, you will receive 2226 Ergo, The Atoned's Mask, and (if you told her the truth at the very beginning) the cable car key.
