It Begins; Starfield Received First Community Patch
The first version of the Starfield Community Patch, a modification created by a large group of fans to fix all the bugs and shortcomings of Bethesda's space RPG, has been released.
A tradition of Bethesda games are the so-called Community Patches, which are large fan projects that fix bugs and imperfections that the devs left out of official updates. Starfield debuted in much better condition than any of the team's previous RPGs, but it still leaves a lot to be desired. That's why work on a fan-made patch started right after the release and now the first version of this modification has finally been released.
The project has been named simply Starfield Community Patch and its launch release is marked with the number 0.0.1. The mod currently fixes misplaced items, scripting errors, inconsistencies in item properties, problems with missions, exploits that break game rules, and spelling errors. It also restores missing attributes.

The project is just getting started. For now, the possibilities for modifying the game are severely limited, so the authors of Starfield Community Patch must wait with major changes until the release of official modding tools, which will happen only next year.
Bethesda itself is also working on its own updates all the time. Quite a few of the fan-made fixes will most likely be replaced later by official patches. However, judging by the studio's previous games, the developers will never be able to fix all the imperfections, so fans have a lot of work ahead of them. Especially since, following the pattern of previous projects of this type, changes offered by Starfield Community Patch will also include numerous gameplay improvements over time.
Recall that Starfield debuted in early September on PC, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. The Community Patch is only available for the PC version of the game.
