Crimson Rector Percival is an optional boss who is able to summon copies of himself, which he creates using Radiant Magic. Crimson Rector Percival in a nutshell
- The boss will often attack with Radiant Magic. We recommend wearing armor that protects against this type of damage.
- There are several parasites in Umbral. Siphon them only when Percival surrounds himself with a healing aura.
- The boss often attacks right after his clone goes on the offensive - be prepared to dodge.
How to fight Crimson Chancellor Percival?
Crimson Rector Percival is an enemy known from previous locations, who now has a boss health bar. He fights mainly in close quarters, sometimes summoning a copy of himself that imitates one of his several moves.
One attack that is easy to dodge and can be punished is the jump and sword strike. Dodge to the side and then use a strong attack. Percival won't be able to respond to this.
Every time you get the chance, position yourself behind him. Thanks to this, the boss will take a long time to turn around and attack you.
His longest series of attacks is when he lands three strikes. Dodge behind his back, thanks to which you won't be hit by most of them.
When you see that the boss is surrounded by a golden aura, he will start healing. You can interrupt this effect in two ways:
- Use Soulflay to rip out your opponent's soul. This will give you a moment to go on the offensive.
- Use siphoning to absorb parasites visible in Umbral. The boss will be momentarily staggered and all of its buffing effects will dissipate for a short while.
Remember that clones do not have their own health bars, they are only summoned for a moment, so do not focus on attacking them, just go on the defensive. Respond only when the real Percival attacks.
