How to fight Congregator of Flesh during phase 1?
Due to the large size of Congregator of Flesh, consider equipping area of effect spells. A good choice here would be Lingering Despair from Umbral Spells. This attack fires a few projectiles in a horizontal line. If you manage to fire the spell close enough to the boss, all projectiles will hit him, dealing a lot of damage.
If you don't use spells, another tip would be to equip armor offering poison resistance. Poison attacks of the boss are a real problem during this fight, especially in Phase 2. If the poison bar is filled in full, you'll receive a damage over time effect depriving you of health points.
When attempting to attack the boss, focus on his leg. With enough damage dealt to it, the boss will become Staggered for a moment. Use such opportunity to go all out with your attacks.
When it comes to the boss's repertoire, the most often used attack is a hand swing performed twice. There is no good window to attack between the swings, so either circle the opponent and get him from a side or prepare for two dodges in a row. If you are very close to Congregator of Flesh, his attacks may not reach you, but this is not guaranteed.
Circling him and attacking his back is a good tactic, especially if you want to avoid boss's attacks, but if you repeat this move too often, Congregator of Flesh will jump into the air and land on you right away. When you notice the boss preparing for a jump, quickly move away from his location.
How to fight Congregator of Flesh during phase 2?
Phase 2 of the encounter begins when the boss's health drops to 60%. The boss will signal this with a roar, becoming more aggressive and receiving new moves. He will also apply poison to your character much more often.
From now on, each time the boss is back on the ground, he will coat the floor with poison goo - each contact with it applies Poison status. Don't remain in the goo and instead chase the boss to provoke him to change his location.
When the boss jumps back and you'll see black smoke coming out of its mouth, it means that he is preparing for a charge. The charge is a lunge followed by a biting attempt. Before the charge is initiated, he will additionally stick his hand into the floor. When you see this, prepare for a sidestep and a dodge. If you manage to mitigate this attack, you'll have a lot of time to attack Congregator of Flesh.
The final move in the boss's repertoire is a black wave that is casted via a hand wave. When you see him getting closer, perform a forward dodge.
