Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations Lords of the Fallen - guide, tips

In Lords of the Fallen 2023, it is profitable to farm life to gain XP quickly. This tutorial page shows sample locations to farm by killing enemies.

Last update: 23 October 2023

When playing Lords of the Fallen (2023) you may want to get Vigor - experience points - faster. This page of our guide offers help in the matter, showing examples of locations for Vigor farming, a technique that involves repeatedly defeating lesser opponents.

Why farm Vigor?

  1. Farming is about repeating easy fights over and over to get more currency/or XP. You do this to get Vigor points fast and easily which you can then spend on hero development or buying a supply of a given item from merchants.
  2. Your task is to defeat the same group of lesser enemies over and over again. After the area has been cleared of opponents or your health is low, retreat to the closest Vestige and choose rest option. Avoid dying, as otherwise, you risk losing all your amassed XP unnecessarily.
  3. By resting at a Vestige, you renew your health and medicine items and make all enemies respawn again.
  4. The locations we show as suitable for farming are only an example. If you find a location where farming is effortless or easy, it is worth staying in it for longer and clearing it a few times. This way, you can accelerate character development to have an easier time fighting enemies or raise currency to buy more expensive unique items even at an early stage of the campaign.

Vigor Farming near Sanctuary - early game

This exemplary farming location becomes available after reaching Sanctuary from the direction of Skyrest hub. Consider staying in this location e.g. to prepare for Scourged Sister Delyth boss fight better.

  1. Start at the Vestige of Chabui rest point inside Sanctuary. Reaching this rest point is a story event happening during your journey in the direction of Pilgrim's Perch.
Instead of proceeding forward, head back to the exit from Sanctuary - Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations - Basics - Lords of the Fallen Guide

Instead of proceeding forward, head back to the exit from Sanctuary. The opponents here are:

  1. melee enemies;
  2. kneeling characters who won't attack you - they also leave Vigor behind;
  3. ranged enemies - eliminate them quickly with ranged weapons or spells.
This farming location becomes available along the way to the lower elevator in Bellroom - Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations - Basics - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. When battling these opponents, look for opportunities to kick them into chasms. They will die instantly, and you'll receive full Vigor from them. However, be careful not to fall or get shoved yourself.
  2. We recommend clearing the area in front of Sanctuary, as well as the areas to the left and right from it. After the entire area has been cleared of opponents, return to Vestige of Chabui.

Vigor Farming near Bellroom - early game

This farming location becomes available along the way to the lower elevator in Bellroom. Spending some time farming here will help you prepare for the Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds boss battle better.

The path you need to take to reach the elevator is described in detail on the How to repair the elevator - Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations - Basics - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. While exploring the locations neighboring the Bellroom, you may have to switch between Axiom and Umbral to find the way forward.
  2. After using one of the ladders, you can use a Vestige Seediling in the place shown in the picture and optionally create an Anchor Between Realms. It works on identical assumptions as "ordinary" rest points.

The path you need to take to reach the elevator is described in detail on the How to repair the elevator? page.

2 - Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations - Basics - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Stay next to the Anchor Between Realms and travel to Umbral. Only in the world of the dead can you safely climb down the new ladder in the picture and reach the lower area. In the world of the living it does not exist.
3 - Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations - Basics - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. With everything ready, you can start farming. Initially, you'll only encounter lesser enemies - melee and ranged ones (deal with them first).
Another advantage of farming in Umbral is the higher Vigor multiplier - Lords of the Fallen: Vigor (XP) farming - example locations - Basics - Lords of the Fallen Guide
  1. Further along the way, you'll encounter a large Umbral moth. We don't recommend killing it, as the moth can summon additional enemies. Killing these reinforcements also yields Vigor. When it comes to the moth, keep it away from yourself, as it has a few stronger attacks available (among others, grabbing and stinging the hero).
  2. Retreat once you spend all your healing items. Fortunately, even if you die, Vigor should appear upstairs, near the Anchor Between Realms. This will allow you to recover XP without risking losing it completely.

Another advantage of farming in Umbral is the higher Vigor multiplier. In Umbral, it switches to x1.10 and may even be additionally increased. Thanks to this, you'll receive more XP for the same level of challenge.
