How to fight Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds?
Gentle Gaverus, Mistress of Hounds, is a boss who fights with a bow. She fires at the player's character, while being protected by a pair of bloodhounds. Approaching her may be problematic, but she has a small amount of health points. Still, you should take care of the hounds as a priority so that you can fight Gaverus without any problems.
Initially, you will face two hounds, but later on more may appear from the nearby cages placed in the arena. You have to attack them from the side or from the back, because their front and muzzle are armored. Each of your attacks at those parts will deal reduced damage and be deflected.
It is worth using spells or area attacks to eliminate the enemies appearing in the arena as quickly as possible. At the same time, follow the actions of Gentle Gaverus to know when to dodge the arrows. Unlocking the camera may help with this.
Gnetle Gaverus will usually shoot you with normal or holy arrows. Just dodge at the right moment (sprinting may not be enough), shortening the distance between your character and the boss.
Gentle Gaverus, despite specializing in ranged combat, is also able to defend herself in close quarters. When approached she usually pulls out a dagger and swings it twice. Still, these attacks are easy to parry or dodge, giving you plenty of opportunities to hurt the boss.
