Does Starfield support mods?
Starfield doesn't officially support mods yet. According to Todd Howard, the official modding tools will be released in 2024. Then you'll be able to easily create and download various modifications.
Once players have access to the official modding tools, installing mods on PC will become much simpler, thanks to platforms like Steam Workshop.
Unofficial mod installation
Players who own Starfield on PC can modify the game using unofficial methods. The simplest and most popular option for downloading mods is the Nexus Mods service.
- In the section dedicated to Starfield, you can browse modifications created by fans. If you want to find something specific, type the title of the mod into the search box at the top of the page.
- The description of the modification often includes instructions for its installation. When you read the instructions, you can download the mod from the "Files" tab.
