Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Beats Fallen Order on Steam Despite Bugs

The debut of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is far from good. Interestingly, the numerous technical problems plaguing the game did not prevent it from beating the first installment of the series in terms of popularity on Steam.

April 28 saw one of the most talked-about launches of the year. Gamers around the world received the long-awaited Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Unfortunately, it turned out that Respawn Entertainment's game is riddled with all sorts of technical issues, which the developers will be dealing with for weeks. Interestingly, the numerous glitches and mostly negative reviews of Jedi: Survivor did not affect the considerable popularity of the game oin Valve's platform..

Good results of a bad game

From the charts featured by SteamDB we learn that the second installment of the series enjoys even greater popularity than Fallen Order. At the hottest moment, the sequel was played by 67,855 players simultaneously (graphic below). In the case of Fallen Order all-time peak from four years ago was 46,550 at one time. Despite these impressive results, the most popular Star Wars game on Steam is still LEGO Skywalker Saga. The game, released last year, was played by as many as 82,517 players at its best.

Critical error

Electronic Arts can certainly be pleased with the results Jedi: Survivor is achieving on Steam. Nevertheless, these results could have been much higher had it not been for the aforementioned problems with the game. Recently, some PC gamers experienced a critical error, preventing further play..

As reported by the editors of PCGamesN, the problem has to do with the Chamber of Duality on the planet Koboh. If players leave it and then their character dies without saving the game first, Cal will be reborn in the middle of a locked chamber with no way out.

Until the developers release a patch that fixes the bug, players leaving the room should save the game state at the meditation point as soon as possible. That way, even in the event of a possible death, the protagonist will respawn outside of the trap.
