In Alan Wake 2, your inventory has limited capacity. This page of our guide will help you remedy the problem. We show where you can find the inventory expansions for Saga, which are treated as collectibles. You will also learn how to expand Alan's inventory using the Word of Power. In each case, you can unlock new rows of slots for items.

• How to increase Alan's inventory?

Saga's collectible 1 - General Store

1. Wait until your second visit to Cauldron Lake as part of the Return 2 story. As part of the main mission objectives, you will be tasked with finding Nightingale's heart and must therefore visit the General Store next to a murder site.
2. Once you get there, a Taken Cultist will break through the wall and you must defeat him. After winning the fight, you can go through the hole in the wall and avoid the problem of opening the closed door of the store.
3. The sought-after inventory expansion is among the loot found in the new room. It adds 1 new row of inventory.

Saga's collectible 2 - Cauldron Lake Shore

1. The next secret can be obtained at the earliest after defeating the first main boss, thanks to which the water level will decrease and the western shore of Cauldron Lake will become available for exploration.
2. You must pass under the fallen tree and you will reach a cache on the beach surrounded by other fallen trees. Open the Stash by repeating the sequence of buttons lighting up in green. The inventory expansion is in a container along with other loot.

Saga's collectible 3 - Bright Falls

1. You cannot get this secret during your first visit to Bright Falls. You need to obtain bolt cutters in chapter Return 5. We described its location on a separate page Where to find bolt cutters?.
2. After returning to the town, open the southern gate at the Harbor Street - it is shown in picture 1.
3. Investigate the small building by the water marked in picture 2. There you will find a cult stash - open it with combination 697 and take the collectible.

How to increase Alan's inventory?

1. There is 1 inventory upgrade for Alan. You need to find any Word of Power from the Words of Stuff category - these are unique collectibles for Alan.
2. Upon returning to the Writer's Room, open the Words of Power upgrade window and spend 1 skill point on Magic Pocket (above picture). This will add 1 new row for items in Alan's inventory.
