How to fight Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal in phase 1?
Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal deals holy damage. In the first phase, she isn't that aggressive; she usually walks slowly towards the player. She is also vulnerable to strong, charged attacks - usually two such attacks can knock her off balance.
We also recommend dodging her attacks. Parrying her attacks may expose you to a lot of damage. You can also use the help of the Iron Wayfarer if you cannot win the fight with Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal.
One of her attacks is a horizontal swing with an elongating sword. After a short while, she'll perform a jumping attack. Due to lack of space, we recommend attacking her only after you have dodged twice.
The boss can also initiate her attack by jumping, and holy fire will manifest in the spot where she strikes with her sword. If you stay in the holy fire, you'll take damage and your holiness bar will start to fill. After a short while, the boss continues with the double attack sequence.
Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal can also fire a beam at you. If she raises her weapon, quickly dodge to the side, then close the distance and attack.
When a small portal appears above her head and a yellow projectile hits the ground, subsequent versions of this attack will begin to form on the ground. Under no circumstances run away from these attacks in a straight line, instead sprint or jump to the side.
Pieta also has a sequence of four attacks. You must avoid the first two, but then you can launch a light attack. Then, when the animation of your attack ends, quickly perform another two dodges.
How to fight Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal in phase 2?
After the boss's health drops to 60%, the second phase will begin. Pieta will raise her sword and then thrust it into the ground. An explosion will be created near the sword, which will push you away and deal damage. Therefore, we strongly advise against approaching it. Then she will grow wings and fly into the air.
After a while, she will fly to one end of the arena, position herself in the center, and quickly fly to the other end, ramming everything in her path. Behind her, holy swords that deal damage will form. Quickly move to the side of the arena and wait for the attack to conclude. Afterward, engage in combat.
In this phase, Pieta uses similar attacks and sequences as before, but they are much slower, so after each successful dodge you'll be able to use a light attack. Usually you'll dodge, attack and so on.
Pieta can also create copies of herself that perform specific movements. It can be a normal attack, the materialization of a double portal from which holy swords will emerge, or even a flight in two directions.
Watch as Pieta, She of Blessed Renewal, thrusts her sword into the ground. After a brief moment, light emerges from the point of impact. Then there will be an explosion that will hit you, even if you were behind the boss. It's a good idea to move away from it, and when the explosion ends, run up to the boss and launch a powerful attack.
