This page of guide to GreedFall explains how the fast travel mechanism works in the game. You will learn how to unlock fast travel feature, how to use it and where your team can get by using this option.
Free fast travel
For the first time, you'll have access to fast travel when you unlock your exit from New Serene. It happens shortly after completing the game's prologue and meeting Constantin in New Serene.
You can activate fast travel by reaching the globe icons on the world map. The globe icon can symbolize the end of a road at the edge of a given map region (example in picture 1) or an interactive fast-travel point (example in picture 2).
You can also activate fast travel when you reach one of the bonfires in the game world. After approaching a burning campfire, fast travel feature will be one of available options that you can use.
Regardless of how you choose to activate your fast travel, you can choose one of the already discovered locations from the world map and select a point where you want to get. Fast travel used in such a way is free of charge. It is worth noting, however, that the travel time is counted in hours and the team can reach a more distant destination at a completely different time of day.
Paid fast travel - caravan
An alternative option to activate a fast travel is to pay for a caravan ride. They are found on the outskirts of major cities in the game.
After talking to the driver you can express your willingness to pay for the service and choose the destination city from the list.
We do not advise you to use this fast-travel method. You can easily reach all major cities on your own. Once you arrive for the first time, you will be able to rely on a "traditional" fast travel which is free of charge.
