Mysterious Shards are one of the types of collectibles in Assassin's Creed Mirage. Though they start appearing on the map later in the game, you can obtain these shards before unlocking the quest associated with them. On this page, we describe how to find all the Mysterious Shards hidden in various regions of Baghdad.

What are the Mysterious Shards used for?

You will learn about the Mysterious Shards after eliminating Al-Ghul, the first leader of the Order of the Ancients. The next missions will lead you into the Wilderness, to Anbaru, and then to the Northern Oasis. There, under the water, there is a secret passage leading to a hidden room. In that room you will find three gear chests, which can only be opened by spending shards. They contain the legendary, fully upgraded gear for Basim.

1. The first chest costs two shards. It contains the Samsaara, a dagger that heals Basim every fifth blow dealt.
2. The second chest costs three shards. It contains Shamshir-e Zomorrodnegar, a sword that halves Basim's health, but in return significantly increases inflicted damage.
3. The third chest costs five shards. It contains the Milad's Outfit that disorients nearby pedestrians when performing an air assassination.

There are two shards in each region. They are carried by the black-clad members of the Order of the Ancients who are escorted by the guards. They patrol the area and are automatically hostile, so they will attack you on sight. You can steal the shard, or take it after killing them. You will automatically receive it at the moment of the enemy's death, even if you killed him from a distance, for example with a throwing knife. If you have completed the investigation related to the discovery of the underwater chamber under the Oasis, these enemies will appear on the map.

There are 2 mysterious shards in the Harbiyah region.

1. Shard #1 - located in the Quadrangle of the Persians district. The opponent is patrolling the area near the Great Mosque, the Soap Boiler's District, and the Damascus Gate Prison.

1. Shard #2 - located in the Khuld district. The enemy is patrolling near the Upper Harbor, the Prince's Palace, and the Khurasan Gate Guardhouse.

Wilderness - all mysterious shards

There are 2 mysterious shards in the Wilderness region.

1. Shard #1 - located in Anbar. The opponent is patrolling the south-western part of the city and the areas beyond the walls.

1. Shard #2 - located in Jarjaraya. The enemy is patrolling the western part of the town and the nearby fields.

Abbasiyah - all mysterious shards

There are 2 mysterious shards in the Abbasiyah district.

1. Shard #1 - located in the Haylanah district. The opponent patrols near the Dome of the Ass, the Scholar's Estate and the Monastery of the Virgins, sometimes moving east to the Karkh region.

1. Shard #1 - located in the Tabik district. The opponent is patrolling near the Bazaar, the Monastery of the Virgins, and the Karkh Bureau.
