Nvidia CEO Wants to be Played by Jackie Chan; 'He Looks Just Like Me'
Nvidia's CEO believes that if a movie based on his life were to be made, the lead role should be played by Jackie Chan.
Jensen Huang was Ryan Patel's guest on HP's YouTube channel, and in the interview answered a series of questions. Although the interview lasts less than eight minutes, we learn interesting facts about the co-founder, chairman and CEO of the NVIDIA Corporation. A number of topics were discussed, including those relating to Huang's professional and private life.
The question of a possible movie biography of the businessman was also addressed. When asked who should portray him, Huang replied without hesitation:
"Jackie Chan. He looks just like me," he said.
The confidence with which Huang said this led Ryan Patel to inquire about stunts, suggesting that it could be an action-packed movie about the man who runs one of the largest semiconductor companies for the computer industry.
"Yes, certainly. But I would do the stunts. I would code it all myself [as Jackie Chan's stunt double]."
Some mischievous people could take this as a jab aimed at Jackie Chan, who is, after all, a true martial artis, and who has had to use these skills more than once on the sets of many action movies. However, this is a joke thrown in a loose interview. Jackie Chan, who is 69 years old today, could indeed take on the role of Jensen Huang. All that is missing is a studio and a director who would take up the idea.
Both Jackie Chan and Jensen Huang are from China, with the former born in Hong Kong and the Nvidia CEO in Taiwan. Indeed, Chan may be one of those Hollywood actors who most resemble the businessman. It would be interesting to see a biographical movie about the man who, along with his company, has been at the forefront of the technological revolution for years.
