In Starfield you will fight battles against a variety of often challenging opponents. Sometimes, encounters with them may be exceptionally tough, so you should help yourself with whatever you have at hand. Grenades and mines are perfect in this kind of situation, as they can be used to eliminate even several opponents at the same time.

You find grenades and mines when you explore the world, but you can also buy them from some merchants. To use them, just go to your inventory and select them. Then, to use them , you need to press the G button on the keyboard or RB on the controller. Remember that you can have only mines or grenades set as active, not both.

Effective use of grenades and mines

Grenades are best used against several opponents standing close together. There will be a good chance that you will deal damage to all of them, or even eliminate them in one throw. It's a good idea to place mines in a tight corridor and bait opponents to enter their field of fire. When they do this, the mines explode on their own.
